This is Bub. If there was such a thing as a “doggy soul mate”, he’d be mine. As I type this, he’s snuggled up next to me. Recently, some fabulous light inspired me to take a few shots of Bub in our living room.
Bub has some of the most beautiful eyelashes ever, but they are notoriously hard to see in a photo. I’m so glad I was able to capture them for all to see this time! -Krick

It’s one of my goals to start blogging more, including more personal blog posts! We have so many photos laying around that nobody ever sees. It’s time for a change.
Tomorrow is my dad’s 60th birthday, and I spent three hours last night (no, really.) making his favorite cake from scratch. It’s a triple layer german chocolate cake and homemade frosting with toasted coconut and pecans, and it’s topped off with a drizzle of chocolate ganache. It smells like brownies mixed with Almond Joy candy bars (if they were fresh). I made it using Jules’ Gluten Free Flour (you can find it at http://www.julesglutenfree.com ). For any Celiacs out there, this flour will change your life! I frequently make cookies, pancakes and even biscuits with it. I doubt dad will remember his daughter can’t have wheat tomorrow when we cut into this baby.
Happy 60th, old man! He may officially be a senior citizen, but he still runs more miles than I ever could every. single. morning. So in a way, he kind of needs the energy from the barrel full of sugar, butter and egg yolks that went into this cake.
Hope you enjoy the photos. -Krick
Had this shoot with the breathtaking Audrey Brooks on one of the last truly beautiful fall days. Look for Audrey on the red carpet someday!

Mom came along, too! Pretty ladies.
